Next week, 24 Hours of Booty is fighting cancer in another way – donating blood! Did you know that people undergoing cancer treatment are the number one users of blood in our local hospitals?
On August 10, the 24 Hours of Booty community will remember Brett Morgan and Isabella Santos by hosting a blood drive in their memories. Many of you have heard their stories, but both fought hard against cancer – Brett by fundraising and donating blood and Isabella by fighting her own battle with neuroblastoma. Let’s honor them by giving above and beyond at the blood drive.
The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will park their bloodmobile in the 24 Hours of Booty parking lot between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday, August 10. Here’s how you make an appointment:
- Log onto www.carolinadonor.org.
- Click on donate.
- Enter the date (August 10) and the sponsor code: 24HRBooty
After you’ve made your donation, swing upstairs to the 24 Hours of Booty office for some snacks and drinks. Make sure you make an appointment so we know how many people are coming!
